The Odyssey was absolutely amazing. Worth every minute of the 3 hrs including previews. Incredible storytelling. Matt Damon was great. Only big complaint was Ellen Page or whatever she's going by now. They cut to her "younger" years and the kid playing the 12 yr-old character was bigger than the adult. Somehow the kid's shoulders shrunk as he aged. Saw it in a small, basic theater for $6 matinee. I hear the Imax and other formats are nearly sold out for most showings but I really don't see how it could have made the movie any better spending more money. Wouldn't be opposed to seeing it again.

I was able to locate the old World At War documentary. Lawrence Olivier narrated. All 26 episodes. First rate documentary. A search for ‘world at war archive.org’ does the trick.

I remember sometime in the mid 70s my uncle taking me to see the Godfather II. I probably should not have been in that theater as a 10 YO. During the beginning of the movie some loud shaking sounds were directed into our viewing space, enough so we could not hear dialogue for 3-5 minutes total during important beginning opening scenes. My Uncle Richard who played with the Bobby Fuller 4 ( I fought the law) stood up and caused a ruckus and the theater stopped both movies. The Movie next door was Earthquake in "Sensurround" He was yelling in both theater spaces "Sensurround is for sheep"
He turned out to be correct as the crock novelty wore off pretty quick. He did take us to see some movies I'm surprised Liberals have not exploited titled Mandingo when we were pre-teens.
The point is that this current stuff is being tried because the people making movies lack creativity and think of diversity quite a bit differently than you and I. Everybody needs to watch Mandingo.

Black Rabbit on NF. Quality show that doesn’t really derail until the last episode. Unfortunately it reminds me of Succession. The characters are all such unlikable idiots that I didn’t really care what happened to any of them. A meteor strike would have been fine.
