Took the Mrs. to see it yesterday as the kids went to see it while the two of us were in Costa Rica last week. Out of the four of us I'm the only one into racing and cars, but everyone loved the movie. I was surprised with how much my daughter got into the plot and strategy of the races. An excellent movie, and I predict it will help increase the interest in F1 here in the states (and apparently Apple is also making that same bet with their huge offer today).

Sir, was this one kind of a lower replay on The Beekeeper?Watched Jason Statham's newest movie, "A Working Man" (MGM+). Sorry, folks, but this Statham flick doesn't measure up to his two previous movies, "Wrath of Man" and "The Beekeeper."

It was a typical Statham flick. I wasn't that impressed the first time I watched it, but went back and gave it a second look and changed my mind. Still not at the same level as his previous two movies, but it was good enough.
Being a Statham flick, he does his usual combat with bad guys, but in "The Beekeeper" he was in hunter/revenge mode. In "A Working Man", he's on a mission to rescue a friend's daughter who has been kidnapped by human traffickers.

I enjoyed it as well. Mr. Terrific stole just about every scene he was in. Especially...that scene in the camp. On a side note...every woman in that movie was hot.

Haha the blonde is Cat Grant…she’s the “entertainment/culture/gossip” reporter in the Superman world.
Played by Mikaela Hoover and I had not seen the actress before this and yeah, definitely hot. She’s got some “interesting” pics out there on Google it would seem.

I have been watching the Owen Wilson golf show called Stick. So far, I really like it. I like Wilson’s acting style and this character is not a big departure for him. I think it’s one of the better shows I’ve seen in a while. I am hopeful that the story line holds up.
The premise is that Wilson is a washed up pro golfer who is failing at life and he finds a young phenom to coach and mentor. Above average thus far, almost done with first season.

I laughed many times during Happy Gilmore 2 last night. I knew going in it would be stupid, so I enjoyed it because I had low expectations.
Terrible plot, and they went way too far with the rival golf league.

John Daly was great. Some good moments from Bad Bunny also. It was worth watching. I agree about the rival league. Good premise. Poor execution.

Daughter went to see Fantastic Four without us, so I'll get her opinion on the film when she returns. I've heard good things, but very gun shy about current MCU projects. However, she and I like and dislike the same things about the MCU, so I trust her judgement.

Just got back from Fantastic Four.
They did a great job with the aesthetics of the early comics and the family dynamic between the team. Vanessa Kirby was amazing in the role of Sue Storm, and I appreciated that Johnny wasn't depicted as JUST a womanizer thrill seeker like Chris Evans' portrayal in the early 2000's films—although, that version had some great on-screen moments. I was pleased with Pedro's version of Reed, and after a while I completely forgot about the mustache. The Thing looked amazing, but there was one scene where the movie is setting up a possible love interest that the CGI didn't look 100% complete. However, the Silver Surfer's design was vastly improved from the early trailers and I think they finally nailed the living metal look; but, I did wish there were more scenes with her in the film. With that being said, the best character in the film was Galactus; they finally nailed his design and threatening presence (no space cloud this time). The scene where the four meet Galactus for the first time was one of my favorite of the entire movie, and during the climatic battle I honestly felt like I did watching Thanos in Infinity War. It's good to have formidable enemies again who take several heroes to best (not beat).
8/10 solid movie and worth the price of admission.

Gonna try to see this sometime this week. Was cautiously optimistic and hopeful about it and glad to hear that it turned out well.
