Full Superman trailer. Still think they blew the casting on many of the characters in this but the trailer makes it look interesting…

Do we really need another Superman movie?
Yes we do friend. For us that read countless Aquaman, Batman, Superman comic books as kids, it is necessary. I agree hollywood has gone way overboard with attempting to transition Thor and other marvel characters into cinema and mostly failed but Superman and Batman kind of have a pass.

The batman & Robin movie scene where they fought off the hyper aggressive shark with oceanic bat repellent spray gave me the confidence to go out 100 miles into the sea of cortez. Superman's weakness to Kryptonite set me up as a boy to be leery of Kryptonite people when becoming an adult.

I saw Horizon and thought it was good. I recommend. I assume the second one will be released at some point since it's already been made.. But sounds like it's delayed.
After your rec., I decided to bite my tongue and watch from beginning 'til end yesterday. It is worth watching for the firearms and prostitute character alone. I may be going down the Rab hole figuring out how accurate the representation of the pistols and rifles were. Abby Lee, the lady of the day, is feminine was dressed down(the opposite of dolled up) Her hair was a mess. Her clothing was non-period. I checked her out and she had a legit international modeling career.

I suspect the reason for box office crater is for a variety of reasons. 1) We have a short attention span audience in the populace. 2) the severe lack of understanding of American History amongst people in general. The scene where Sienna Miller's characters daughter making those badges/ribbons for those soldiers going off to fight in the Civil War was probably lost/not recognized by most.

I have spent 6-8 months of my life making land deals with Native American tribes. Jemez Pueblo, San Ildefonso, Zuni, Mimbres Apache. I strongly believe that most in the Namerican community would believe what was portrayed in Horizon 1 was accurate. Native activists and our school systems have freakishly distorted Indian history in the US.

Hopefully Horizon will marinate for another year or two for people to be calling for chap 3 or 4 +

OT. Not a movie, but anyhow.
it may not be manly enough for some of you, but I enjoy going to Casa Manana and watching musicals, mostly due to the cost.

Today we went to see Cats. I really wasn’t expecting that much, but it has been popular for many years. It might have been one of the best productions I have ever seen, and that includes going to see a number of shows at Dallas Summer Musicals many years ago.

Those young kids danced and sang as well as any I’ve ever seen. Do yourself a favor and buy a couple of tickets and go and see it.

Currently, Horizon is not a movie. However, It may likely be recorded as a movie over time. If Costner's prod co. release others then it will become a series like Yellowstone, American Primeval, the Last of Us and other series that have been reported here dozens of times. The aforementioned certainly are discussed here.
I'm cool when Broadway does not distort/slaughter literary history like they've done with Huckleberry Finn or To Kill a Mockingbird. Jeff Daniels portrayal as Atticus Finch from to Kill a Mockingbird should have received a medieval BSlap. Daniels level of talent should have left he/they/them stuck by his lips on a ski lift.
I am a big big supporter of the Arts. There are more distinct representations of the Arts outside of NY and the 50 largest Metros in the country.

Hey, I get it. It is scientific fact. Most Men starting in their 40s start to take on more of a maternal role Vs. paternal because of their Hormone imbalances. It is only normal most biological males with more estrogen would start to gravitate towards things that are more theatrical.

Tires on NF. Two seasons of Shane Gillis hijinks centered around a family owned tire store. Crude and rude guy humor mainly. Works for my 15 year old maturity level.

Here's what I've been watching:

The Accountant 2 (Amazon Prime): Set eight years after the original movie. Focus on brothers working together on a new case. Lots of dialog re: brother's relationship. Complex plot--had to watch it twice to understand how all the pieces fit.

The Alto Knights (Max): Biographical crime drama about NY mob bosses.

MobLand (Paramount+): Mob fight for control in UK. Stellar cast including Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. Audio is in real English. Subtitles needed for American.

Godfather of Harlem (Prime Video): NY mob series focused on gangs competing for control over Harlem.

Stick (Apple+): Owen Wilson goes full Ted Lasso as a former pro golfer.
