Binge-watched season one of Landman. Entertaining and Billy Bob does a good job. The two female leads (ex wife and daughter) are over the top obnoxious and detract from the real story. I suspect they are there mainly for looks.
Overall, I’m glad I watched it and would recommend.
I agree…very entertaining, although way over the top in accuracy, particularly the oilfield scenes. FYI, the co-creator went to high school with my youngest son.

Just finished Seal Team. Glad they actually wrapped up a pretty good series with a good final episode.

Had no idea the actress who played Stella was in the IDF.

So what do I move on to next?

Have a few choices
Landman
Lioness
Paradise on Hulu
Also I've never seen Parks and Rec. But I have to admit Amy Poehler drives me nuts. Just don't like her.

Landman and Lioness are both good choices. I think Landman would be my first choice. But both are worth it. Parks and Rec is pretty good. It gets better as characters get developed. The first season was rough. It is an above average sit com.

“Mo” on Netflix is a good easy/funny watch. It’s a Houston-based show, so it’s cool seeing so many familiar spots. Even a small role by a friend of mine from HS (the giant black bodyguard in season 1).

He went on the play DT at Rice.

I watched The Company You Keep the other night, starring Robert Redford. It’s a 2012 film I’d never heard of. It’s about the Weather Underground perpetrators of the Chicago bank bombing, but takes place 30 years after when some finally get discovered after hiding out all those years.

Great cast. Shia LaBoeuf, Nick Nolte, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci and Sam Elliott.

Free on Amazon Prime.

The Man Behind The Curtain
Fantastic Four teaser…

I like the aesthetics and the more comic accurate aspects (not Pedro's mustache), but it's hard not to compare this quartet against the cast that included Jessica Alba and Chris Evans. I think this is the right direction for Marvel's first family, but I'll wait until I see the first full trailer.

Same. This is probably one of the last shots for a while for them to get the F4 correct.

A real western scene, better than what you see in the movies. This was before the days of deodorant and daily baths so riding up top was maybe preferred (see the ladies). People were stinky, haha.

1890s colorized photo, a stagecoach is crossing the "High Bridge" on the Otto Mears toll road. The route between the important mining towns of Ouray and Silverton (Colorado) was initially thought to be impossible to build a road on. Otto Mears, the region’s premier road builder, acceptd the challenge and built what was known at the time as Otto Mears Toll Road – now it is called the Million Dollar Highway. This was a vital link between Ouray and the booming Red Mountain mining district.IMG_3620.jpeg
