The Death of Stalin. First rate comedy/spoof. 7.3 IMDB. Prime/AMC+. Steve Buscemi, Simon Beale, Michael Palin.

That is a fun one. It isn't supposed to be accurate but it captures the moment. Everyone was afraid of Stalin and Beria, and are suddenly able to bring a little sanity back.

May have already talked about these but The Diplomat on Netflix and The Old Man on FX/Hulu are two of my most recent binges.

Zodiac on Netflix is a 3 episode documentary on a guy that they think might be the zodiac killer

@BrewingFrog watched the recent French production of Three Musketeers last night through today. It’s on Hulu if you haven’t already seen it. Thought you were the resident French aficionado yes?

Not bad at all! Very gritty in a period appropriate way. I’m not familiar with French so had to use subtitles and I wasn’t a fan of how Hulu did theirs but that’s a minor quibble. You may want to check this out when you have time. What an ending!

Also, there’s a mid-credits scene you may want to tune in for.

No, just a monstrous fan of Dumas' work. I was somewhat let down by the production, in that the producers chose to "Hollywood" it up, and throw in a lot of changes to the original work. These changes added nothing, and cheapened the motivations of the characters, IMHO.

As always, read the books.

Anyone watch all of Dune: Prophecy on Max yet? I started it but found it incredibly boring, sadly and had to turn it off. Will try to grind through it tomorrow and hope it gets better.

Made it through Dune: Prophecy. Weirdly, the most boring parts are for what the show is mostly for, the space witches. Everything else involving the other stuff/cast wasn’t bad and more intriguing.

If it’s mostly the space witch stuff moving forward, I can’t see myself lasting long with it all.

For all the critical acclaim that it received I found myself bored with it as well. Hope it gets better.
