What up.
February 24th in Sugar Land, TX there will be the 2nd annual "Darling Dash 5k" in memory of Devaughn Darling who lost his life Feb. 24th, 2001 during spring practice at Florida State. Devaughn and his twin brother, both played high school football at Fort Bend Austin (same high school as Jerry Hughes) and both have the sickle-cell trait. Due to exhaustion and dehydration, Devaughn collapsed during spring practice and lost his life that day.
Since then, his brother Devard fulfill their dream by playing in the NFL and also started the As One Foundation.
Anywho. Its a good cause. Raise awareness of sickle-cell disease and preventing tragedies like this occurring.
