One of the more outlandish quotes after game

The fact is, some people are just harder to educate than others. The guy is probably dyslexic or has other problems that contribute to him being slow on the uptake. We should try an be more understanding.

Our win at Boise was bigger than the UT win, for me. BSU was a much better team and had only lost two games at home this century. Us beating UT will always be great but this win isn't monumental.

"Great but not monumental" might be the very best characterization of this game anyone has written. Fits absolutely perfectly.

Rose bowl and at Boise were bigger wins - especially to a non-Texas crowd (ie. the rest of the country outside of Austin)

Would love to see what that Rose Bowl Wisconsin team would have done to this UT team and their run D.

Rutgers is undefeated in the BE. Tulsa is undefeated in the Cusa. Kent State AND N. Illinois are both undefeated in the MAC. Utah St is undefeated in the WAC. Lots of 1 loss teams in those conferences. That's close.

Rutgers is 9-1, Tulsa is 9-2, Kent State is 11-1, Northern Illinois is 11-1, Utah State is 9-2.

When you are a nonAQ trying to make a run at a BCS bowl, out of conference matters just as much as in conference. I stand by my point - if it was easy to go undefeated in the lower-tier conferences, we would see it a lot more than we do. It is not easy to go undefeated in any conference.

They were talking regular season. Y'all didn't beat a ranked team all year to get to the rose bowl.

The errors in your post have already been pointed out. Now, for some perspective: TCU has 4 conference wins this year, with one game left to play. Baylor took 7 years after joining the B12 to win 4 conference games. Then, it took another 3 years to win another 4 conference games. And you are worrying about our progress, why?

Oh, you mean a full run the table, not just conference? Should have said so. It is rare, but I would still point out that some of those guys are close, and you said no one was close. We got close several times, and finally did it once.

Your point that it is difficult, no matter the conference, is right on.
