Career high 29 points tonight at Las Vegas in a battle of top teams. She was 5-for-6 in the last 6 minutes for a dozen points (after somehow sitting for the first 3:30 of the fourth). None of Vegas' guards could stop her, so in crunch time they put 6-4 center (and 4-time MVP) A'ja Wilson on her. She still got to the rack for a reverse layup and an and-1 left-hand-finish to give the Lynx the lead, then added a go-ahead 3 in the last minute.
Too bad her last shot didn't fall. Vegas got the win, but the rookie went toe-to-toe with the MVP and more than held her own.
I expected Liv to be an elite distributor, but Minnesota seems happy for her to call her own number.
