Offseason humor

I recently tied the knot with my long time girlfriend. One evening after the honeymoon, I was putting on my purplegear to go to a TCU tailgate. After a long silence she said,

Honey I have been thinking... now that we are married I think it is time for you to quit hunting, golfing, fishing, and tailgating at TCU games. Maybe you should sell your guns, boat, golf clubs, and TCU tailgate spot.

I got this horrific look on my face.

My wife said "Darling what's wrong"

I said for a minute you sounded like my ex-wife.

"Ex-wife" she screamed "I didn't know you were married before".

I Replied "I wasn't"

On our honeymoon 30 years ago, I tried to lay down the law with my wife. On our wedding night, I tore off my pants, threw them on the floor, and ordered, "Wife! Put on those pants!"

She said, "Don't be silly. Your pants wouldn't fit me."

I said, "That's right. Just so you know... I wear the pants in this family!"

She raised an eyebrow at me, then tore off her slacks, threw them on the floor, and said, "Husband! Put on those pants!"

I was a little shocked and said, "What the hell? I could never get into your pants."

"That's right," she said. "And unless you change your attitude, you never will."

It kind of set the tone for the rest of the marriage.

Can't believe anyone can't think of humor. Or maybe I can. Country lost it's sense of humor in the 1980's.

Oh I dont know. Considering some of the people who keep getting re-elected multiple times I'd say some areas still have a great sense of humor....

Back in my single days, I had a particularly memorable evening with an attractive lady. In the morning, she cooed, "You remind me a lot of my third husband." Alarmed, I asked how many times she'd been married? "Twice" was the answer.

Back on track.

This is still my favorite blooper. I laugh until I cry every time I watch it.

That's still second place to the Baylor football captain calling the coin toss for the start of overtime:

Ref: "What do you call?
Baylor: "Defense"
Ref: "uh, no. You have to call heads or tails."
