Ireland only comes around once (well… hopefully more often than that). Let’s help make this an unforgettable trip for every Frog making the journey.

Go Frogs… and we’ll see you in Dublin! ☘️

The Brewingfrog Approved Irish Pub Crawl

Visited this lovely Country two years ago, and found some excellent spots for a pint! I have no idea if there's room or time in the various tour group schedules for ducking into a nearby Pub, but if you can, get a pint (Be patient! Guinness ain't Bud Light. It takes a wee bit of time to get a proper pour...), find a snug, and have a bit of craic!

Dublin: There's a few Pubs in this town. Go figure! We found Gravedigger's to be an excellent spot, though it's a little off the beaten track. Just about every historic Irish person is buried in the cemetery out back. Temple Bar is touristy, expensive, but it needs to be checked off while you're there. Suffer through an expensive pint. In the Liberties, be sure to stop at the Pearse-Lyons Distillery. Magnificent hooch! The Teeling Distillery is also nearby, and when they say they make "the best Irish Coffee in Ireland" they may well be right! Down by Trinity College there are a bunch of good, creaky old pubs. All serve a good pint!

Kenmare: Crowley's Bar is a Trad Pub. Intimate, cozy, and features local musicians fiddling away. O'Donnabhain's is a great pub that also serves some tasty grub.

Dingle: Bob Griffin's Bar has a great atmosphere and lively craic. Good live musicians in the evenings. O'Flaherty's Bar is worth a stop for all the old posters and goofy artwork. Foxy John's is a combo Pub and Hardware store.

Doolin: Gus O'Connor's Pub is the home and conservator of Irish Trad music, and poured the best pint we had in all Ireland.

Galway: Gird thy livers. King's Head Pub is a good starting place. The streets nearby are all walking streets, so wandering from Pub to Pub is fun, and there are lots of interesting shops, buskers playing in the streets, and plenty of enjoyment.

There's plenty more. Discover it for yourselves! Ireland is a very happy place, and we had a magnificent time while we were there. Enjoy!

Oh, and slainte!

OK roll call. Who here is going? Mrs. Shreve and I will be there!
My wife and I will be there. I have an incoming freshman. I split my time between Philadelphia and Dublin, and my next Dublin trip overlaps with the game. My firm may also have a “tailgating” event at one of the local pubs near Aviva open to fans of both teams, likely the night before the game, and if so I will circulate info once it’s available.
