Mentioning Paul Ridings jogged my memory slightly. Refresh my memory as to his TCU claim to fame.

I think he was SID or similar position and attended every Frog game home and away for decades. I saw a story that his son Paul Jr is retiring from Sam Houston State after a similar run as their SID.

Junior and I were good friends from Paschal through our mutual time at TCU.

We were both at a frat rush party our freshman year, and we spent the entire evening talking sports.

He and his dad were devoted Frogs all their lives, and yes, senior was the SID for a long time.

At 69 years of age, one of my first memories was seeing the POSSE carrying a banner around the field stating “The Corps is full of Worms” during the A&M game in the late 1960s and the Corps jumped the rails and jumped the guys when they got to the visitors section.

It was quite a brawl!
