Lots of TCU folk were wearing cotton balls dyed purple, and the drizzle made it all bleed onto clothes. Wet and cold.

I was deer hunting near Dublin Texas regretting not taking Dad to the game.

Ink was fresh on my law license by less than a month.

I'm glad Dad and I spent the weekend together even though we did not get a deer.

I was 13, lived 20 minutes away, and barely knew TCU existed. I enjoyed my Saturdays much more back then. Simple times. Damn you Lance Brown.

Twas there as a 14 year old. TCU oversold the seats and people had duplicate tickets including the seats I was supposed to sit in in the upper deck.

Looking at that photo I've got to say I don't remember TCU's band being larger than Texas band.......ever.

I was 25. . .Six months in to what would be my thirty-three year career at channel 11. At that time I was a studio camera op but also ran camera at Will Rogers Coliseum for Monday Night Wrestling . . .The Von Erich's, Freebird's, Ice Man King Parsons, The Great Kabuki . . ahh yes. . . good times.
