I think the real thing is you DIDN'T want people to leave, so you hired nobodies who would never leave you and you got to try to play hero every game with blitzes that no longer worked agains the RPO.

I stayed, playing the hero card. Please, you stayed because 1, you were getting paid with the big boys, you couldn't complete a normal sentence grammatically correct and TCU fans didn't care, and you didn't have any better offers that wouldn't [ Finebaum ]can you in year one when your passing defense dropped below 100th best.

What does this even mean? It seems like it was the exact opposite of what appeared happened, which is he didn't want to let anyone go because then he'd have to go find replacements, and he was either too lazy to do that or didn't want to risk having some guys that weren't yes-men on staff.

I don't think he has it in him to just say he wasn't getting the job done.

Y'all do realize he is talking about having the assistants visit other programs to get ideas and learn, then come back and apply it to their current job and development, right?
