No underclass man who left TCU early has ever made it in NFL. Not one !

Here is why Maponga will most likely not even get drafted.

Odds are terribly against MAPONGA -

1) no player who left Tcu early has ever made it in the NFL.

2) Maponga is short for an NFL DE at just 6'2"

3) JJ Watt for example is 6'5"/280

4) Maponga at 260 lbs is still 15-20 lbs too light for NFL DE

5) He did not have a good year this year

6) He has two serious injuries and one of them is to his foot which scares NFL teams

7) He will not be able to participate in the NFL combine not Tcu Pro Day due to his upcoming surgeries - which will lower his draft stock even more than it is now

8) he was projected as a 7th Rd draft choice prior to this season, but due to injuries, a poor season, and inability to participate in combines, and upcoming surgeries, he is in real danger of not being drafted at all now

9) Tcu has a spotty record of DEs in NFL, with many DEs doing well at Tcu but flaming out in NFL (Blake, Ortiz), with even the somewhat successful Jerry Hughes being considered a bust at Indy til this year

10) NFL teams are now very wary of DEs from Tcu, which bodes very badly for Maponga

Sounds to me like Maponga just didn't want to go to school anymore,pure & simple.Can't make a kid go to class if he's no longer interested in doing so. Could be wrong,but just my 2 cents worth.
