Next year...Not too soon

With one year of College experience under the "young" Frogs' belt, what do you think Sommer (?) and team do to increase strength and conditioning? Outside of the fact that the kids are still physically maturing, I wonder what we can expect next year. Team is already physical on both sides of the ball as we saw against UT and other games this year.

Pick out a player...could Fields go to 6'5'' or 6'6'' and get closer to 250....BJ Catalon add another 10-15 lbs?

I'm no expert (on anything), but .....I would expect Fields to be stronger and be 245-250 next fall....I doubt Catalon will be much over 190....I wonder how much bigger McFarland may get (or even if he is redshirted next year if Matt Anderson comes back finally hale and hearty).... I will watch to see if Lathan goes to true DT heft (say, 290 or more)....and most of all I dream about Moore as a LB at, say, 225 pounds of lightning in a CGP defense....

Would love to see a healthy Garrett on the field and hopefully Kolby Griffin gets some time to add strength back & then some.

At my age you never know, but I hope I am around long enough to see my Frogs get the recognition they will so rightly deserve. And as for Oklahoma, IF we don't turn the ball over we win. Almost every time.

Speaking of Jordan Moore, how is he doing and regarded? Hardly noticed him as believe he just played ST...had the unfortunate gaff of running into the Texas punter. Just curious if he is still thought of as highly as when he was recruited.

Jordan Moore has been playing some LB in practice. Thinking he might be the next Daryl Washington. Kid has the build and speed.

He is young when it comes to playing football, that is why he was a late bloomer in High School. Think he only played 2-3 years.

It will take some time to learn how to become more physical. But I think he will be a stud by the time he is finished here.

It would be awesome a get Devonte some more strength and conditioning that he will need to withstand opposing offenses game planning against him next year. I want Waymon James to get stronger and a bit bulkier to withstand the pounding he will face in the Big 12 after coming back from his injury.

Collins is going to be huge. I remember Marcus Cannon his freshman year. He was big. Then he got huge. Collins and Vaitai both have the frames to carry more weight than they are right now. I think the same could be said for Lathan.

I don't think Fields is actually 240. That's what he's listed at, but I think that's an exaggeration. He'll be even more of a force at 250.

CGP addressed issues like this in his press conference. Take a listen, if it is available. It is in the latter half of his time at the podium.
