JP Richardson had a punt return for a td last season against Kansas. Blake Nowell had a td off a blocked punt against Nicholls in 2023.

We are in a "what have you done for me lately" era more than ever. How about this year? ? I was chided for suggesting Blake Nowell should be given a few starts last year over at the time nonperforming JP Richardson.

There's definitely some things to work on. Not just Hoover, but the OLine as well. The 8 sacks equals to -41 rushing yards. Block better and get rid of the damn ball.

You asked a question. I answered it. I do agree with you. We've always had dangerous return men up until now. Once Derius left, we've definitely dropped off.

Agree. Our defense can keep us in close games thank goodness. Davalos was a very solid hire by Dykes. Briles tenure here may be coming to an end. I wish he would try McAllister in the wildfrog and at rb.

Our defense is worse than our offense. Ranked about 75th in the country vs about 35th for the offense.

But yeah, our defense carries us.

Our defensive efficiency ranking is 38. This team is actually fairly good against the run and horrible against the pass, probably the exact opposite of what thought going into this season.

Davalos was a solid hire that may turn out to be great depending on how these last 4 games go.

The entire coaching staff needs somewhat of an intervention during this bye week to recalibrate.

I will be impressed if Davalos gets the DBs to turn their heads to the quarterback in coverage.
I will be impressed if Davalos reaches beyond himself and find the weaknesses in a true freshman BYU QB Bachmeier. (hint, he often takes his 1st read and does not progress through the routes)

All 3 of my teams (Frogs, TWU Rams, and Bama) played w/ their food this week, but at the end of the day, all 3 got Ws. Also got to see some old friends and make some new ones this weekend. Life is short guys, and college football is supposed to be fun. Enjoy it.
