New JUCO Basketball offer

[GuardianFrog]

Trent Johnson went to see Gulf Coast JUCO guard Chad Frazier last week and it now appears that the Frogs have extended an offer to the 6'3 sharp shooting combo guard. Chad hits over 40% of his three point shots and was committed to Oklahoma St. before decommitting before signing day last fall. Frazier also had offers from Washington State, Pittsburgh, Western Kentucky, UNC-Charlotte Memphis and Middle Tennessee.

Also it should be noted that the staff will again go to see Kendal Yancy-Harris again tonight at Berkner. The Frogs and the Aggies are both going hard after the ESPN and Rivals top 150 PG who is still technically a USC signee, but is looking to get out of his LOI.

Guardian, is Frazier a shooting guard or point guard? I find it interesting that we are looking at some many point guards. I also think we need another big guy. With Abron and Shepherd that is good pairing, but Fields and Durley are coming off of major injuries. I would like to see us sign another 6-8 to 6-10 kid.

Anderson- 2 more years
Williams- signed LOI
Smith- 3 more years; can play some point
Frazier- can play some point
Yancy-Harris- best of the bunch

[GuardianFrog]

Combo means he can play either the one or the 2. My guess is that you would see him rotate some at both positions depending on how well Brandon Parrish does at the 2.

As long as he can shoot and score!

I'm for getting the best JUCO when can get at this point. If he's it then lets go! We need a 3 point shooter of course but someone who is above our average by lets say 14% at least including layups. So Chad please sign with us tomorrow!

[GuardianFrog]

I think at this point he would have to sign in the spring period for basketball from April 17th through May 15th.

Quick update on Chad, he has narrowed down his list and the Frogs did not make the cut.

It's my least favorite thing as a fan.

Well, it appears that Chad has now decommitted from Taxas A&M. We are still trying to add a JUCO guard so you can bet that we are going to be in touch.

Regular signing day starts tomorrow so doubt he switches but should be interesting to see who the Frogs sign besides Price.
