I don't think it's fixed but it's the inconsistency that drives me nuts. Like a bad umpire who cant keep the same strike zone. It messes with the game and last night was a prime example of that. The missed goal tending was a crime and the sudden flurry of fouls was ridiculous. Like I said you could call a foul on almost every play but you have call them with common since as to not influence the game for one side or the other.
What is dumb is that the goal tending was not reviewable with all the other callas that are. And i's my understanding that if that had been called goal tending and they find out later that it wasn't through video they can retroactively take the basket away. That's just dumb if they can't award a basket that clearly was goaltending on video review.

I do think there was probably a couple points where they tried to rein in the physical play with some quick calls in succession. Totally fair to criticize that. The criticism is almost always though of the "those terrible refs screwed my team!" variety.

BTW, those were considered three of the best officials in the game last night. It's a hard, hard job and they are ALWAYS going to miss calls, even ones that seem so obvious watching on TV. There are only three sets of eyes that have to see everything on the floor.

IMO they were a little inconsistent in how they let a lot of rough play go, and then called some fouls that were relatively ticky-tack. But I didn't think they were lopsided as to who the calls went against. Hell, they called two T's against Florida.
That was my take too. Felt like maybe they had a couple of “shouldn’t be fouls in a championship game” calls against Florida early in the second half…realized it…and then kinda spent the rest of the night going back and forth trying to keep it from becoming an advantage one way or the other.

Falling on deaf ears. The umps were bad and they need to be better. No excuses. End of the 1st half and most of the 2nd half was controlled by poor umps. No one one tunes in to say the refs were great tonight and they really saved the game with bad umpiring. Not sure if that is even a word but I stand behind it. They were poor and just not because we had the vantage of replays. Let it go.
