What is dumb is that the goal tending was not reviewable with all the other callas that are. And i's my understanding that if that had been called goal tending and they find out later that it wasn't through video they can retroactively take the basket away. That's just dumb if they can't award a basket that clearly was goaltending on video review.I don't think it's fixed but it's the inconsistency that drives me nuts. Like a bad umpire who cant keep the same strike zone. It messes with the game and last night was a prime example of that. The missed goal tending was a crime and the sudden flurry of fouls was ridiculous. Like I said you could call a foul on almost every play but you have call them with common since as to not influence the game for one side or the other.
I do think there was probably a couple points where they tried to rein in the physical play with some quick calls in succession. Totally fair to criticize that. The criticism is almost always though of the "those terrible refs screwed my team!" variety.
BTW, those were considered three of the best officials in the game last night. It's a hard, hard job and they are ALWAYS going to miss calls, even ones that seem so obvious watching on TV. There are only three sets of eyes that have to see everything on the floor.
