3 fouls on UH in 9 seconds?? Not to mention the missed goal tending on Florida. Refs took that game over. Once that happened, UH was screwed.
I think UF had three fouls in 10 seconds too at one point. I wanted UH to win pretty badly but complaining about refs is loser talk.

I think UF is just a little better and Houston’s offense gets really stale at times. Way too much dribble action, not enough passing.

Ya the refs had zero impact. Really? Get a clue.

Which one of those fouls wasn’t a foul? Are they just supposed to make sure the foul totals are even no matter what they see on the floor?

I saw maybe a few calls in the game that were really questionable and one of them was the foul on the Florida kid who got the technical afterward. Refs sometimes don’t get every call exactly right.

One team has 5 assists all night. That had more to do with the outcome than anything. Get a clue.

I was watching with Mrs. Brewingfrog, and had literally taken in a breath to say, "I'm surprised that the Officials haven't really been a factor thus far..." when there was a clear goaltending, and subsequent 3-point goal by FLA. That's when I got up to go sit outside and enjoy the evening.

Mrs. Brewingfrog came stomping out a few minutes later, snarling "They are killing UH! They are calling them for fouls all over the place, while FLA can beat guys silly! They called a foul on a UH kid when the FLA player had elbowed him in the throat!"

I'm glad I quit watching.

That's funny. While rooting for Houston, I literally yelled at my TV for them to stop fouling. As in, stop committing fouls.

Florida had so much more movement and passing on offense than Houston did. Florida finally got some things going, and the stale offense finally caught up to Houston

Felt like 1983 all over again. My favorite teams will always be TCU teams but Phi Slamma Jamma holds a special place from my childhood. I have been rooting for Houston ever since. Refs sent Clyde Drexler to the bench early in 1983 and changed the game. You can call a foul on every play in every contact sport on both teams but you don't have too. Refs were very poor last night.

IMO they were a little inconsistent in how they let a lot of rough play go, and then called some fouls that were relatively ticky-tack. But I didn't think they were lopsided as to who the calls went against. Hell, they called two T's against Florida.

Refs do the best they can. Anyone who thinks they have an inherent bias toward a team or flat out want a certain team to win, is an idiot. In 99.9% of cases. If refs actually were in the bag for a team, they wouldn't let the game come down to the last possession.

And I realize you aren't implying the game was fixed or always that way like Brewingfrog always does whenever his pet team loses, but complaining about refs is just ridiculous IMO. How about Houston actually having some off the ball movement on offense and passing the ball more.

It was inconsistent. I mean, Florida had one foul the entire first half, and then 5 in a span of two minutes to start the 2nd. I've never seen either of those happen in a game. Then three fouls in 9 seconds against UH.

I don't think it's fixed but it's the inconsistency that drives me nuts. Like a bad umpire who cant keep the same strike zone. It messes with the game and last night was a prime example of that. The missed goal tending was a crime and the sudden flurry of fouls was ridiculous. Like I said you could call a foul on almost every play but you have call them with common since as to not influence the game for one side or the other.
