Take a look at basically every women’s score in this tournament that doesn’t involve a 4-5 or 3-6 seed. Lol. The Cinderella story is not part of the women’s game, apparently.

They need to expand.

An okay discussion about the TCU-ND matchup on the HerHoopStats podcast, if you can listen around a rabbit trail on Sonia Citron's dad. They acknowledged some things not often said:
1. That the timing and lack of film from the first TCU-ND game have caused people to pretend it didn't happen.
2. That TCU is more than HVL and Prince (and sometimes Conner), with key contributions coming from Hunter and Emma-Nnopu and Bigby.
3. That it should be a good game. Given that HHS' rating system has ND as the fifth-best team (TCU eighth), I found this encouraging.

TCU has matched up well against guard-oriented teams, and Prince had a 20/20 game in the first meeting. It could come down to how well TCU hits 3s. Hope the court in Birmingham fits their eye.

ESPN has TCU as the 7th best team left and ND as the 9th given they lost 3 of the last 5 before the tournament.

I see Notre Dame is favored by 5.5 points
Not surprised. I thought the Irish deserved a 2, even with the rough finish. They split with 7-loss Duke and beat UConn, Texas and USC, all of which are better than the Blue Devils' best win. And the idea that ND could be the 11th overall seed (according to the committee's precious S curve) is insane.

But recency rules, so the world gets Duke-UNC for a third time and maybe UCLA-USC for a fourth. So maybe a Frogs-Irish rematch ain't no big deal.

Everyone is a tough out at this stage, but I think the winner of this game will give the Longhorns a battle. Lace 'em up!
