Speaking of the creek…only thing that Needs to go in there is that texas birthing football monstrosity of a statue. I don’t suppose a frat pledge class or ROTC spirit mission has accomplished that yet?….the proximity to the creek crevice behind the stadium....

As to the height of the upper deck....Prolly because the ravine behind the stadium didn't allow a more friendly pitch....And the deck was built in almost record time, trying to cash in on the Frogs being usually in the top 3 of the conference standings.....Ticket prices I believe for a number of years were set by the SWC.
Back to the old stadium. Whoever the architect was for the original west stands did not use much common sense. The dressing room was built in a way that people sitting on the far south side could not see the entire end zone. The person who decided or was the architect for the original upper deck was just as bad. It was too high and too steep. The press box was way too far away from the field. Just don't know what they were thinking back then.
