Guess since he ratted out Donati et al, he could kiss that package goodbye.I believe the golf coach was expecting a retirement / severance package at the end of his career (as many at TCU have received) …and he got nothing of the sorts
Call your son. I’m sure you could work out an arrangement.Naw, I'm partly on a fixed income now. Can't afford to lose.
If he were being terminated, at least in part, for being a whistle blower, wouldn't he have to confess in the suit to blowing the whistle to VBo? If he didn't do that in the suit then that claim would seem baseless, no?You just stated that it has the retaliation aspect in the suit - not sure what part you are missing.
He can't file specifically under the Texas Whistleblower Act if that is what you were expecting - first TCU is not a government entity, second its been more than 90 days since his termination and third the complaint is not a safety related event that would be covered by OSHA.
Against a "non-public" entity, he has to file for wrongful termination - which is what he did and used the age discrimination as the primary complaint and the retaliation for his stance and the fact that he didn't accept their original offer to go away quietly as the support.
My statements that he was one of the people that went to VBo was why I said "assume he was one". I have no idea who told VBo and the administrators - but I do know someone on the staff/faculty did and it was more than one person that complained about it. And I know we have taken and are still taking steps to stop it - that doesn't mean it didn't happen or should just be ignored as if its all ok now.
But again - if you all really think he is just doing this out of spite or for money - we will see soon enough because there is a 99% chance Means will have it resolved before a trial date is set.
no - its a filing, not where you are making your case.If he were being terminated, at least in part, for being a whistle blower, wouldn't he have to confess in the suit to blowing the whistle to VBo? If he didn't do that in the suit then that claim would seem baseless, no?

evidently "coaching" it is not...I though golf was a retirement package...
Whats the status on this? Wasn’t it supposed to be finished this month? Maybe my memory is wrong, but I didn’t see any construction going on at the east end of the range during Colonial.on a positive note - I did see the plans for the TCU practice facility and dedicated building at Colonial today - it will sit on the east side driving range and take up the northern 1/3rd of the current expanded tee area.
Looks like TCU will own 2 of the 3 bays plus have some level of lounge/locker room for the players and the entire building will have a "comfort station" (food, refreshments, etc) similar to the one the club added by 13 green after the restoration.
Yes the recruiting and daily operations had passed him by. It was time and he’s now bitter. Should have probably happened a few years ago yet TCU gave him a chance to turn it around or step down.So this is you— 70's and coaching at the same employer for many years. Suddenly you're told your contract will not renewed and no retirement benefits??? IS THAT CORRECT??!@ Surely that is not right? I've read that..... IS that correct...... ? Pray tell me, what did he do to warrant that? That is severe and difficult to accept. Not from TCU??!
Good question. I assume it’s behind schedule. Half the clubhouse was leveled recently so projects there are very much ongoing.Whats the status on this? Wasn’t it supposed to be finished this month? Where are you getting the no retirement benefits thing? So this is you— 70's and coaching at the same employer for many years. it would not have been scheduled for completion this month even originally - I can check to see the current date but nothing but the golf course was scheduled for completion this calendar year.Whats the status on this? I could explain it to you, but you are too old to understand the answer!I still don't know what other issues in the athletic department have to do with the age discrimination suit. Again, if someone has a contract with a business and the contract runs out and is not renewed, what kind of case do you have?
Well I am guilty of that.I could explain it to you, but you are too old to understand the answer!
You are not alone, brother.Well I am guilty of that.
Eh? What! Speak up!?You are not alone, brother.
It appears that's about the size of it. If I'm TCU, I would like this to disappear before it becomes an embarrassment. I'm on his side if the coach is denied his retirement after years of loyal service. Wonder how Donati would accept this if the situation appeared on his foot?Guess since he ratted out Donati et al, he could kiss that package goodbye.
