SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin is a fast learner, hence, his immediate respect for Michigan State defensive end William Gholston.
"You have to know where No. 2 (Gholston) is at all times,'' said Boykin, a redshirt freshman who assumed the Horned Frogs' starting duties the fifth game of the season when incumbent QB Casey Pachall was suspended.
"I wouldn't say it's a fear, but being aware of where he's at would be nice.''
The Spartans (6-6) have made no secret of their plan to apply pressure on TCU (7-5) and land hits on the mobile Boykin at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday night when the teams meet in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. ...
