By Mike Griffith | [email protected]
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Here's a look at how Michigan State (7-6) graded out in its final game of the season on Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium, a 17-16 victory over TCU (7-6) in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl:
QUARTERBACKS (C+)
The Michigan State quarterbacks were a combined 11-of-27 passing for 104 yards, but most importantly, there were no turnovers.
Redshirt freshman Connor Cook (4-of-11, 47 yards) took his turn in the spotlight, engineering a 90-yard TD drive and moving the Spartans 45 yards in eight plays in the game's final moments.
Andrew Maxwell was 6-of-15 passing for 28 yards, and had a few passes dropped by his own receivers and TCU defenders.
It will be interesting to see who starts the next time MSU takes the field. ...
