As I pointed out in the other thread, his dad is an adjunct professor in the English dept at TCU whose subject matter is centered on race. So not a shock that he sees things like this.

Btw, TCU 65% white, and the US is 75% white. So to pretend it’s some kind of outlier “white-haven” institution is just silly. And not sure why you’re shocked that a “Christian” school in a deep red state and red county is majority conservative.

He has his opinions out there for the public to see, which is his right, but he should not be surprised that people are willing to question his assertions especially at an institution of higher learning, where students should be challenged. I would challenge, as some has already posted, that TCU is a conservative institution. It's not UT-Austin, but it a'int Liberty.

Wait, the US is 75 % white? Even if Trump removes millions of illegals, wouldn't the white people in the US still be in the minority? Where do you get these numbers? Source please.

"white" includes most Hispanics. The category White alone, not Hispanic or Latino is 58.8%. Still in majority

Data can tell you whatever story you want. Per TCUs demographics site, the fall of 2024 student body was 4.7% African American. 2020 census had the overall US population at 12.1% for the same demographic. (And Fort Worth city demographic was 18.9%.)

so its kinda hard to show any real data that says TCU is just like America if that is your lens.

I've never thought of TCU as a right wing, super-conservative institution either. When I was in high school and my older sister was at TCU, the student body voted in a male as its homecoming queen. Granted, it was a joke but this would have been squelched at every other SWC school save Rice.

When I was a TCU undergrad, we voted a particularly obnoxious assistant dean of men, Neeb (sp?) I think his name was, "Addie the Frog". Addie was a strikingly ugly (and scary to little kids) costumed mascot cheerleader.

That had several repercussions, including IIRC changes in how cheerleaders were selected. And doing away with Addie, leading to what became Superfrog. But I digress.

Given a chance to vote in a popularity contest such as homecoming queen or cheerleaders at the old-timey TCU, organized groups sometimes promote unusual candidates mostly to be funny.

You really think his perspective is that wildly unique among black athletes at TCU?
No, not necessarily. I’m just saying that any athlete that thinks TCU is not black enough, not brown enough or not white enough, there are options for them in the transfer portal. If you are not happy in your current circumstance, there are options. Know, however, the new circumstance may not necessarily be better…
