Lets be honest, if teams win this won't matter to fans. And they lose, it also wouldn't matter if he kept him around , fans would still be calling for the AD's scalp
It's June. Baseball went home early. Football hasn't started. Stars are eliminated. Rangers are already 5 under. What else are we going to do?

I can say with 1000% certainty that Mark was not one of the “most liked” people inside of the athletic department. His reputation inside of the department is pretty much the polar opposite of it outside.
Admittedly, I posted earlier the he was "most liked". I do not know him, only based the comment of observation from afar.

My wife, a journalist; when I told her the news immediately claimed that she saw him as a grandstander...self promoter.

So who knows. Hate seeing anyone lose a job.

I really liked Mark, and I had heard he was retiring in August. I guess they wanted to get someone else here during the dead period before things started back up in August. Regardless, the timing was not good. I do know the athletic department is having to cut its budget due to the upcoming NIL settlement. This is being repeated all over the country.

Explain please because the Mark I knew was the complete opposite. Caring individual, great father and friend to all involved in the program.

This always happens when there is regime change. When Pat Sullivan came in, he fired long time and well liked EQ manager Bruce Smith. That opened the door for now long time TCU Athletics employee Mike Sinquefield to come to TCU. So while you hate it for MC, someone really great may come to TCU. You never know.

Best wishes to Mark and I have to believe TCU provided him all of his well earned retirement advantages.

I had forgotten about the Cheez-it sideline interference. If you watch the clip until the end, you can see the bodies flying in the background. Funny memory.
