Graduated in the mid 2000s and have to say that was my experience also. Ate my share of pizza from pierottis and BBros but never mamas til after 2010 or so and that was the location on camp Bowie
Same, Perrotti’s was the place of choice it seemed when I was at TCU as well.

It's not the TCU spot it used to be. My niece graduated in May. I asked her about Mama's pizza. She said she never went there and that she did not know any TCU students who did.
I grew up in Fort Worth and in high school we used to hit the lunch buffet at the Mama’s in Wedgwood (RIP) hard. I consider it a Fort Worth institution and one my first go-tos for comfort food. But as a TCU student, Perrotti‘s was ubiquitous. Back when it was a house behind the TCU Theater (about where the current bookstore is now), it seemed like most Thursday night mixers were there. And every club meeting that had advertised free pizza was sure to serve Perrotti’s and those femur-like breadsticks.

The one in Southlake didn't make it. Pizza snobs in the 76092.

Nope. But there is one coming soon on Inwood in Dallas. Whitewolf would have not approved!

I’ve honestly never truly understood the love of Mama’s. My experiences there were often met with super greasy and quite often lukewarm pizza.

We had a Mama's in Irving. Closed about 1988. They had about 8 arcade games. It's was the shiznit. We had Mama's every Friday night. My dad would call it in and rush up there and back home just in time to watch Dallas. Mama's pizza and JR Ewing was pretty much what we did every Friday night.

Recently I was at my folks and mom put a parmesean cheese shaker on the table. I asked if that was the one she slipped in her purse about 1986...sure as hell was.
