FORT WORTH — With 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, the crowd was starting to trickle down to the last few stragglers.
The TCU fans who remained at Amon G. Carter Stadium must have wanted to see just how many points their team could score. The Texas Tech fans were nearly non-existent, a few speckles of red and black that had resigned to stay the rest of the game playing on their smartphones, trying to avoid seeing a final score that eventually reached 82-27.
The latest “embarrassment” was essentially over at halftime.
With 55 seconds left in the second quarter, Texas Tech had a chance, though. ...
