Sophomore quarterback Jett Duffey could be in line for his first start with Alan Bowman (partially collapsed lung) doubtful and McLane Carter (high-ankle sprain) questionable. Duffey’s performance in games has mirrored his reputation from mostly closed practices: Playmaking ability mixed with shaky judgment. Tech receivers are coming off their worst game, a drops-fest against West Virginia, but there’s been a lot more good than bad from Antoine Wesley and Ja’Deion High. TCU DE Ben Banogu, the Big 12 preseason defensive player of the year, has come on the past two games with 1 1/2 sacks at Texas and a fumble-return TD against Iowa State.
