Lubbock A-J: Red Raiders return to Big 12 play, host TCU

Even though they snapped a three-game winning streak, Texas Tech’s Matt Mooney admitted the usual 12-hour rule of celebrating would not be in effect.
The senior graduate transfer, who scored 12 points in a 67-64 victory over Arkansas on Saturday, told a bit of a truth following the Red Raiders’ triumph in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
“Definitely feels great to get a win,” said Mooney, who helped the then No. 14 Texas Tech improve to 16-4 overall. “Arkansas is a real good team. So it feels good to get a win against them. But at the same time, we’ve got a lot of work to do to get better. TCU is a real good team, so we really can’t celebrate too long for this one because they’re coming up in less than 48 hours. But it feels good right now.”
