We averaged 7.7 ypc yesterday

Jeremy Payne 8.8
Pitchford 6.5
Walker 10.7
Martin 9.5

I know it was Grambling but I’ve watched enough football to know these guys looked great.

Games like this (Grambling) don't tell us anything about how we are going to play in conference.
Their worth is getting live action reps for starters and backups, picking up some confidence and getting 1 game closer to bowl eligibility.

If we maul the best run defenses in the B12, that's something to get excited about. Grambling..not so much.

Our OL looked subpar against UNC. I don’t think we’ll be great running team in B12. But I do think we have 4-5 legit RB’s. I’m sure they’ll transfer and he awesome like Hejny, Morrison, etc

We need to get compensated for finding these early stage venture investments and selling them as proven blue chip stocks.

Yes and I want more Pitchford on the goal.
Both Walker & Pitchford need more carries against Ark St. Pitchford had a good spring/fall camp and has an uncanny ability to accelerate at a greater than average RB rate once he hits a yard from the line of scrimmage. Makes Olineman realize they better thrust run block, or they are going to get bruised in the back.

That and he runs low at the goal line and as you say, with good acceleration.

I noticed that too. The best pass rushers have always had that ability to "get close to horizontal"

Eric Dickerson, Chris Johnson and Steve Bartalo (Colo ST) had that innate ability to get low. Bartalo ran a best 4.75 40 and was drafted by Tampa bay.

Who would have thought Pitchford ran a 10.7 100 meters at 197 lbs ? in HS? He is now 220 and even more reason to allow him to feast on the rock. Unfortunately, it may take an injury for the Landon Walker and Pitchford frog train to take it home toward a 10 win season.

I felt bad for Jeremy Payne against UNC

Arkst had defenders in his face as he took handoff. Should have to make spin move before getting to line
Payne needs to be more involved in the passing game. He is most dangerous in space. Kind of a Joe Washington light.
