I've never been a fan of field turf! There are studies by the company saying there are no more injuries on it than natural then there are outside sources doing studies.

While he could have just been vague, TCU SID Mark Cohen tweeted out a few weeks ago that "Work has begun on a new grass field..." Have not seen him mention turf in any tweet, they have all referred to grass. Can't imagine they would switch to turf.

I can see good Sir that you are not aware of my long & lettered band geek past. That was not a dig - though I await my fellow band geek alumni experiences marching on rubber grass (i.e. field turf). While I can't compare turf toe injuries I can assure you I'd rather have footing on real grass when strapped to 40 pounds of drum equipment when visual ques are less than ideal.

I've said it before on here a ton...ACS'S grass field is among the best in the country. Its soft, yet short and fast. Its a dream to play on.

Took a walk through the stadium last weekend with the Missus and the Come-Hell-or High-Water-Eight-Month-Old-Eventual-Horned-Frog-Baby-Boy. I don't know what's going in, but the grass that used to be there was, at that moment, nothing but dirt. So something is obviously changing, one way or another. Go Frogs.

New drainage system and grass. Other than the OP, nothing to indicate otherwise.
