Laredo pitcher drafted by LA Angels set to return to TCU

Former Alexander baseball player Marcelo Perez will return for his junior season at Texas Christian University after being selected in the 20th round by the Los Angeles Angels in this year’s MLB Draft.
In an interview with Laredo Morning Times, Perez stated that he feels he has unfinished at TCU as he searches for a College World Series appearance.
“First of all, I want to thank the Angels organization for drafting me and giving me the opportunity to pursue my dream of playing professional baseball,” Perez said. “The reason that I want to go back is because I feel that I have not left my mark at TCU.”
