Lampkin Enters Transfer Portal

If TCU pulled off the Arizona win last March, Lampkin would have become one of the biggest stars in college basketball.

Who is to say what that would have changed. Perhaps nothing given the difficulties in his personal life.

But, he would have been swimming in NIL money coming into this season, and perhaps could have put that out of his mind to focus on helping this program make history.

We now have a lesser chance of doing that - in part because our seed suffered when Miles went down and Lampkin wasn't there either. And also because he brought something distinct to the table for other teams to deal with given his size and his game.

The key to breakthrough success in this tournament is to not have to play the Arizonas and Gonzagas in the second round. Now we do, once again.

It is all just too bad.

if he truly has/had an nil deal(s) for 300K unless he had all his money in crypto he should have more than enough for money not to be the focus of this year, unless........HIS mind isn't the one focusing on the money

sure there is and based upon the reply from dixon things had reached a tipping point where any potential benefit was offset by the negatives

also suspect there aren't many poker players in the lampkin camp because they overplayed their hand just a bit
Seems that way.
Could be that they were weighing too much and JD called their bluff. (get us more minutes and/or dollars or he hits the portal) It aint like we have not seen this before with a running back, so to speak.
I think the whole NIL thing will just increase episodes like this across the college sports landscape.

This is all garbage. Lampkin left his team behind. This may be a poor analogy, but you can be mad at your fraternity and still support your pledge brothers.
