Beyond the Jersey: Jack Bech​

LAFAYETTE – 2024 was a life-changing year for Jack Bech on the football field. In his senior season at TCU, the former STM Cougar reached career highs in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. As a result, he was named a member of the All-Big 12 second team and a Biletnikoff award semifinalist.

“It was awesome just seeing everything come to fruition, you know, all the hard work, you know, behind the scenes, all the blood, sweat, and tears, you know, it was really just awesome to be able to go out there, know, and do what I do, you know.”

Shortly after the end of the season, Jack took another step closer to a childhood dream when he declared for the 2025 NFL draft. Two weeks after making that special announcement, the Bech family had their life turned upside down. Jack’s brother and best friend Tiger Bech was 1 of 14 people killed in the horrific New Year’s Day terror attack on Bourbon Street. Tiger Bech was 28 years old.

I watched about 30 mins of the 50 +Min pcast. If you only have a few minutes, watch the last 3-5 mins. Channing Crowder (former Dolphins LB) who covered Dallas Clark, Randy Moss, and Jordy Nelson suggests Bech could have Nelson probability at 22 min mark.

In last 3 minutes, Fred Taylor, one of the greatest RBs of all time and part off the 10,000 yard + club, starts jawboning with Bech about how he's going to deal with cover 2 cover 3 in a press vs. zone/man. Bech has an answer.
