Chancellor Boschini and the Board could, very well, hold a PAC-12 membership in much higher regard than some on here, or even perhaps the Athletic Department, as a whole. There are many non-athletic, reputational benefits for an educational institution in being a member of the PAC-12, versus the Big-12, not to mention the millions of $$$ more in direct monetary benefits than the TV package would provide.

According to some here, TCU would be unattractive to the PAC-12 from an academia standpoint.
