Antoine Hicks did not qualify at UT and we got him in....

We got Dwight Smith in, after no one else could.... that's what we should avoid. Will they be here when we need them and are we missing out on another quality 3* that can make his grades and possibly be developed into a 4* on the field.

Cheers !

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we have to wait a semester for Smith to get in?

UT didn't think they could get Smith in, but when Smith finally got clearance, UTmade a hard late push to no avail. Hicks came here a year after committing to UT. Not apples to apples to compare.

Didn't turn him away like OU did Outlaw... then went to using the grey shirt formula, I believe 1st.... then he became academic ineligable and then couldn't get off. And sent Dwight to a JC, where he lasted a few weeks.

Cheers !

Antoine went to summer school and qualified. When he called ut to report his status and to enroll, ut said they did not have a scholarship for him.

He contacted TCU and TCU got him in their fall class based upon his summer school credits.

Always keep an scholly or two back just for that reason.
