After all that Rose Bowl business, he goes on to become a beast for the Texans, and now this:

So glad the Astros are dumping their terrible Red & Black uniforms and that stupid open star to return to their normal colors. Much improved in my opinion.

And JJ Watt is a cool mofo. Currently my favorite nfl player. Does all the right things on and off the field.

Would have been more entertaining had he worn one of biggios actual jerseys.

As a die-hard Astros' fan I must admit I don't believe Biggio deserved "First Ballot" status.

There are only 40 or so players who have that distinction, and I can't say I think Biggio is among the 40 greatest players in the history of MLB.

He'll undoubtedly be inducted someday, but now is not the time, in my opinion.

JJ Watt "gets it," and will retire one of the most beloved Houston pro football players since Earl Campbell.

But hopefully in better health.

Amen to that. Earl made a brief appearance at the Texans' playoff game last weekend, and he does not look good.

Apparently, a fall a few years ago exacerbated the numerous long-term effects of his football injuries, and he can just barely walk.

It's so sad to see such a mountain of a man reduced to incapacity, but he has always maintained his relentlessly positive outlook.

Even in his struggles - he remains an inspiration.

He must have a ranch down near in south Texas or something, because my uncle saw him at Max's Cafe in Tilden, TX a couple years ago, and said he took a pretty bad spill when he was walking out of the restaurant.

P.S. Love Ray Childress, he was one of my favorite Oilers growing up... him, Warren Moon, Haywood Jeffires, Ernest Givins, etc.... Who was that super tall DE?

God, those teams were so much fun to watch (and painful, all at the same time)

Was I supposed to type something here?
Ray Childress was indeed a beast, and singlehandedly kept TCU out of the Cotton Bowl during the '84 season.
