It's official: Big 10 to postpone, attempt to restart in spring

1 thing to play a few games in the cold. The whole season?

Fall starts warm and gets cold towards December.

Spring football will start in the winter and for the north schools, its still in the 50's in April.
As someone who has lived in the middle of Big 10 country for 29 years now, I can tell you that cold weather will not have any effect on whether or not they will play.

The fact that they would be playing at least 10 games in the Spring and turn right around and play 12 more in the Fall is the real issue.

You mean, like college baseball weather?

Ultimately the main reason I want to play, whether it be high school or college, is so the seasons can happen, and COVID armageddon doesn't happen so we can prove the fear mongerers wrong

Why not just say you want college football like all of us? That’s why we signed up on this board.

Wonder how likely it is that, if OU is the only proponent of canceling, the other 9 schools go along with the season without them. Then just play a couple B10/PAC schools.
Probably enough teams in the B1G, PAC and MW that want to play to form a conference for a year. That would make a fourth P5 conference and facilitate a playoff. And some bowl games.

Who would have guessed that OU would be the school that is out?
