Yes. Same thing happening with ACC and that will play out as well. Basketball schools that don't want to pay to play football anymore.

How will BE Basketball look without those 7 basketball schools? Right now, they are at 15 BBall schools. With 8 leaving(counting ND), they will need more teams. Will they turn a couple of the FB only invites into all sport invites just to field a decent number of teams?

my first thought was: well, bball was the only real hope smu could have to get a leg up on us. they could have just quit trying to be competitive in football and just focused on being Texas' BE basketball team. Smaller niche, less prestige, but at least it would have been something. too bad.
