To get more loyal fans in the Dallas community, the athletic department hired The Marketing Arm, names the 2012 100 Agency of the Year, to help brand SMU beyond the Hilltop.
“If any other school called us to do a campaign, we probably wouldn’t work on it,” Marketing Arm founder and CEO Ray Cook said. “If TCU calls us, I can guarantee you we’re not going to work on it.”

Why wouldn't this marketing firm do this for us?

Can only assume it's SMU grads running it?
Pretty stupid business model IMO(not that TCU would be calling them any way.)

They only work for schools with no national names! It'd be hard to market TCU since it's already a household name! Or is it because TCU demands the best? Hummm I will try to figure this one out someday! Say the year 2040.

I work for The Marketing Arm. The Founder and CEO, Ray Clark is a SMU alum. We do awesome work in sponsorship, talent, promotions, and experiential for major national brands such as AT&T, Wells Fargo, State Farm, American Airlines, and Frito Lay. Let's slow down the bashing of The Marketing Arm. It's regularly recognized as a top marketing firm in the US.

The SMU work is just a passion project for Ray. He means no disrespect to TCU. Just wants to help his alma mater. We dont normally work for individual schools like we are for SMU. It's a lot smaller scale than the normal work we do, that's why he says we wouldn't do it for any other school.

Some recent work you may have seen includes this years AT&T "On the way to Saturday" program centered around College Football and College Gameday, State Farm's "Go To Bat" and charity program during the MLB All-Star weekend, Frito Lay's "Crash the Superbowl" program, and Dove's Men's "Be comfortable in your own skin" program.

Didn't you come with the "Green Shoots" theme 4 years ago for Obama?
