Baylor.....no matter how we dislike them.....has tradition, great basketball, good baseball & solid women's sports. Football will return one day.

Baylor Football will return one day? Return to what exactly? :blink: Even during there heyday of the 80s, the were still only above average. They have been to 16 bowl games in school history, and have an 8-8 record. One 10 win season in school history (1980) and are a lifetime .500 ball club. If you look up mediocre in the dictionary, it says see Baylor Football. Their legendary coach, Grant Teaff, who is responsible for the only decent period in their history, has a lifetime record of 170-150 as their head coach. Stunning.
As for other sports, sad to say but they dont mean as much, money wise. Football drives this conference realignment bus. I love basketball and baseball but they are only small slices of the pie, and any other sports are most likely non revenue generating. So, just because they are good ad basketball and baseball and womens curling, doesnt mean that adds much to your conference. Football is king. I take it you are an 80s guy, so you remember Baylor fielding some decent teams, but let me remind you that 1985 was a loooong time ago. On top of that, it represents Baylors only flash in the pan of success, admist decades upon decades of utter mediocrity. Just say no to Baylor in the MWC.
