considering how the season shook out, with QB's throwing and running for miles, take a look:

jones....gone

smith...gone

florence...gone

dodge....gone

Blake Bell, at OU, looks like he could be pretty good. Wes Lunt at OSU back too.

OU, UT, OSU, and TCU will be in the running

OSU yes.

OU...we have no idea. Blake Bell has to throw too and that will be a first for him. Yes he's made a dozen short passes within 10 yards but pretty much zero intermediate/long passes. What we do know is they return a ton of starters from the rest of the team.

Texas: yeah probably, youngest team in the nation. But remember ash and McCoy aren't going away, that helps us.

Honestly we can't win the conference SEC-style, all defense and no offense. We need to sort our O-line (and somebody PLEASE GOD tell Collins to stop getting dumbshit penalties) and we desperately need to build more solid QB play. I'm happy with the way Boykin has led this team, but we either need to improve his arm drastically or bring a reformed Pachall back. I don't think Matthews will be ready next year (based on nothing, admittedly).

Boykin is much better when healthy, but we need to closely monitor his health. Tye Gunn was good healthy too but if he can't stay healthy I agree we need to have viable alternatives. The entire offense should be better next year but we also need better play calling.

Bowl game should be interesting.

Agreed. Our offense has been dreadful... most of the good things they've done in the past five games has been a result of the defense putting them in good spots. I'm hoping for the tattoo'd crusader.

And agree on Collins. The kid isn't a freshman anymore... 12 games in and we are still making idiotic mistakes. I'm hoping Dunbar comes back and can provide a legitimate 3rd option.

We need to work on our offensive game calling as much as anything else. We have the players to do a whole lot more than what we have asked them to do. We need some better game plans and schemes that play build on themselves. Got to get the TEs involved, and have better routes that confuse the defense.
With Michigan States good defense, and one that is similar to LSU's, it will be a good test to get ready for next year.

Offense was supposed to have been our calling card this year before debacle struck and Pachal was out,we still have the best WR corp with no one to throw the ball,no disrespect to Boykin,he just does not have the height or mechanics for long verticals...
Than Fuente moved on,I do not blame him ,he saw the writing on the wall.CGP needs a replacement to augment Anderson pronto for next year,If Pachal gets back 13 will be our year.

Anyone know anything about Scott Kujak? http://gofrogs.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/kujak_scott00.html

Looks like he was a transfer, ambidextrous and pretty legit. Anyone know anything more?
