He came to the SMU game with me last season in the rain . Remember the rain ?
Anyhow he has asked me what internet board I visit ,when I mention something from here .
I have not told him about KFC board because he's a Texas Tech graduate ,in his 60's .
He's pretty excited and interested about TCU football and I don't want him offended by some of the anti TT talk that goes on here .
Actually this friend played basketball for Gerald Meyers at Tech . Now , I have a friend who is a WELL TO DO Texas Grad who is also a TCU SEASON ticket holder and supporter as well as TEXAS fan .
I "beat around the bush " with both of them about this site .

Am I too concerned or should I tell them and not worry about losing their interest at TCU ?

Oh good grief! Tell the guy about kf.c. At 60, he's surely heard it all. I go to several different boards: ponyfans, baylorfans, texags, raiderpower and with the exception of one total metallic idiot who will remain unnamed, we're the most polite board of them all.

As long as he knows what this is.

This is an internets chat site that is kinda hard to find except to those who care deeply about TCU and it is populated with DIE HARD TCU football fans. Fans who do NOT hold a special place in their hearts for how TCU was kicked to the curb the the great Hardin Simmons rival...the Texas Tech Red Raiders when the SWC broke up.

This is not a circle of texas collegiate sports fans singing Kum bay ya and giving each other's teams compliments. However, I would hope that KFC members do attempt a certain level of decorum befitting gentlemen.

But all of these sites (Hornsbloods, etc) are the same. Dont expect candy canes and ice cream when you bring up your team on another team's site. Having said that, I am happy TCU is garnering people's interest. It is good for the program, and I personally, will treat your friend with respect.

Just let them know what to expect, keep reminding them from time to time and they can probably handle it.

I don't know about introducing them to KFC but that is great that they will be attending Frog games. That is exactly what we need more of. College football fans who live in the area and recognize the quality of product TCU puts on the field and the easy and inexpensive way to experience a game day.

I've got a friend I am working on to do the same. Played LB for a D-II NC team. Has a son playing D-III ball at MHB. He is tied up on Saturdays until his son graduates but know he will be a great Frog fan eventually. Also got my neighbors out to a couple of games last year. I'll bet many of us are doing this and it is sure getting a lot easier with the press and excitement for the Frogs in Fort Worth.

I live just down the street from UMHB. My wife has a degree from there. They always field an outstanding team and their games are fun to watch; a very different environment from TCU games.
