So, we have now reached the intersection of black helicopters and birthergate.

May we all live in interesting times.....
Yeah, this thread has managed to go completely wheels off and somehow stay on topic at the same time.

As fake as it seems to be, it's a fact that she's pregnant and I guarantee you it's part of the discussion. My wife went into a panic immediately when I brought up the possibility of Sonny leaving...... "But she's pregnant! No way I'm switching doctors and hospitals mid pregnancy! She could stay in FW while he goes Austin, no that won't work either! How much money are they offering him????? Man that's crazy I don't know what I'd do!!!". In fairness she never asked about a helicopter.
Exactly. Even if he runs the show at home no will want to mess with a pregnant woman. I find the that the wife will win out on this battle if she isn't comfortable. Most women would never want to pack, move, unpack, furnish a house, find a new doctor OBGYN and Pediatrician, prepare a baby's room and/or have a new house ready for a kid. Some guys might go back and forth for the opportunity but it sounds like his family takes priority over the career. The church pint is pretty moot because moving comes with the job, it should be expected. I'm sure he wants to be the number one OC but the timing might be bad.

Agreed. We were on a roll. Just took out the #12 team in the nation at home...
Haha you guys barely beat a team that was running a guy named Lynx at QB. He was a WR who played a little QB in middle school.

New "insider" post:

"9pm update: three of my sources are all saying there is a slight setback in $#@!bie coming to austin. as far as the nuts and bolts of football coaching and him coming to austin, it's pretty much a done deal at this point. however, what the folks in austin and fort worth failed to take into account is where mrs. $#@!bie gives birth.
mrs. $#@!bie was all set to give birth at a medical facility in the forth worth area (my sources won't say where), and the $#@!bies, being private people, had not openly discussed this with either the group in austin or fort worth. she was very open to staying in fort worth and then coming to austin after the birth of the child, but $#@!bie understandably was going to be by his wife's side when she gave birth. the folks in austin offered the use of private jets and a helicopter in forth worth to assist $#@!bie in his commute between the facility and austin, which has firmly impressed the $#@!bies.

the setback this evening is that he made it very clear that he was going to work near where his wife gives birth, in case he needs to leave quickly, and that even the use of a private helicopter and jets to get him from austin to fort worth would not be enough.

the folks in austin got together, and are working with three different groups in austin - st. david's, seton medical center, and the wildcard in all of this, the austin area birthing center. st. david's and seton are the natural choice - both are close to campus, seton has the benefit of basically being between campus and west lake, and some university donors have told the $#@!bies that they will have drivers on call 24/7 to get mrs. $#@!bie to the hospital, and to quickly whisk $#@!bie to his wife's side. police escorts can also be provided with 15 minutes notice to ensure a smooth transit to the hospital of her choice.

mrs. $#@!bie is also interested in alternate birthing methods, but the birthing center is located farther away from campus. university donors are willing to make helicopters available, however a suitable landing location is not available near the birthing center, and the $#@!bies have given the university 24 hours to put together a plan to buy a suitable piece of property near the birthing center, on which can be constructed a suitable landing site for two helicopters (one each for both mrs. $#@!bie and her husband). the $#@!bies are taking into consideration a landing site for a helicopter when they chose their house, and the university-supplied realtors have already provided a list of appropriate houses. some of the owners of those houses have already been told that they may have to vacate their their houses with 72 hours notice as well, but they are bound by an NDA and cannot reveal exactly which houses are under consideration.

with all of that said, i think there isn't much to fear at this point, as i consider this to be a done deal - the big donors can definitely resolve the helicopter landing site situation, should mrs. $#@!bie decide on an alternate method of delivery for the future $#@!bie."

Yes, but how will she feed?

I'm not discounting his wife's comfort level as being an important factor in the decision. But to believe that some Shaggy poster has that level of detail (hell, to believe that ANYONE at UT has that level of detail) is just crazy. Very obvious shaggybevo satire.

Obviously UT has suffers from inadequate helo functions.

But seriously, this doesn't mean Cumbie is not in the running anymore. They're probably doing this to (a) be prepared if Cumbie says no, and (b) regain some leverage in the negotiation with Cumbie by showing that, while he is wanted, they have other options.

I'll assume UT got their answer.
I'm not so sure. Strong has an in-home with their quarterback commit tonight, and the recruiting dead period starts this weekend. He could just be getting his contingency plan ready in case. Or he could be putting pressure on SC.
