Not sure SMU and UH are any better or any worse off. The Big East is becoming CUSA 2.0 with a marginally better TV deal (probably). it only looks bad because of where the Big East used to be. But to SMU and UH its almost a homecoming.
Big East Football 2013: Connecticut, Temple, Rutgers, South Florida, Cincinnati, Memphis, Louisville, Central Florida, SMU and Houston. 7 of those 10 have gone thru CUSA. Losing Rutgers and Louisville in '14, adding Tulane and ECU, making 8 of 10 being CUSA refugees.
