How mad will you be if OU misses BCS?

I'd be very annoyed if it was because Northern Illinois got in. Had Northern Illinois gone undefeated, I'd be fine with it. I hate the BCS and I'm always for a BCS buster, if it's earned. Utah, Boise State, TCU, and Hawaii all earned it. Northern Illinois has not. The others were all undefeated and in the Top 10. Three out of the four performed in all their BCS bowls. Hawaii didn't but I look to June Jones for that. He was a lame duck coach who didn't have his team prepared to play on that stage. They had the talent but weren't prepared. Northern Illinois is not as talented as the other BCS busters have been. Boise State this season shouldn't even be in the conversation. They have a great program but this isn't a good year.

It would make for AWESOME sports talk radio up here. For that reason alone, I would not be mad at all. In fact, I'm rooting for it.

Twitter is lighting up with "official" news that it will be NIU vs. FSU in the orange bowl.

Just sucks because OU gets penalized for playing a tough OOC opponent in ND.

OU did not get screwed over schedule. Instead, we have the rare occasion with ND and a non-AQ in the same year. Stanford won the Pac, but Oregon had a better year than OU.

Not following you. Oregon will still be in the bcs, as will Stanford. If OU wouldn't have scheduled ND, and done what most top programs do, and schedule patsies they would be 11-1 and in a bcs game. Oh well, doesn't matter to me but the orange bowl and sugar bowls will be laughers.

OU would have only gotten into the BCS if it was better than Oregon. It was not even if they had not played ND. There were no other spots with both a non-AQ and ND.

I find this very interesting.

Most of y'all are giving bonner [Craig James] for crying about the refs. I get where you're coming from. Whining about the refs typically screams "small time" and "sore loser."

But at the same time, it is very, very clear that the refs did everything in their power to keep TCU from winning. Is that just tough luck? Is it something we just have to learn to accept? We're not UT. We're not OU. We simply have to get use to unfair officiating?

That's a bunch of [ deposit from a bull that looks like Art Briles ] if you ask me. Unfortunately, we have ourselves a Catch-22 type situation. We either cower down and continue to get on our knees and take it up the [Craig James] from the Big 12, because we're just glad to be included. Or we stand up for ourselves and look like a bunch of babies for whining about the refs. It sucks.

Not mad in the least. After 71's actions I don't care if OK wins a bowl game.

I don't remember but did anyone win their next game after playing TCU this season? I know this was discussed once or twice here but can't remember if that streak was broken somewhere along the way.

maniac I have not cried that much. Obviously I hate the Big 12 refs though. The only teams to beat us straight up were the Okie Pokies and KState
