How does this change bowl options?

Was thinking about this. just don't see how we can move up much from where we are. What sucks is this likely actually puts us in the holiday bowl instead of it just being a maybe. Alamo is going to take texas over us even with the head-to-head.

I say if we beat OU we have a better shot though

Following is the Big 12's selection order:
BCS - Tostitos Fiesta
AT&T Cotton (SEC)
Valero Alamo (Pac-12)
Buffalo Wild Wings (Big Ten)
Bridgepoint Holiday (Pac-12)
Meineke Car Care of Texas (Big Ten)
New Era Pinstripe (Big East)
Heart of Dallas (Big Ten)

I am going to guess the Wild Wings Bowl with an outside shot at Alamo if we beat OU and if we lose to OU then we are probably bound for the Holiday Bowl

I want to go to Houston for selfish reasons and is the only game I'd be able to afford to go to, barring a surprise bid to the Alamo Bowl. Although we would play a much better opponent in the Holiday Bowl, which is probably what we need to set us up for a successful 2013 campaign.

Not much. Bowls still pick based on ticket sales and TV ratings, not conference standings. Really all that matters now is if Oklahoma finishes 10-2. If they do, there is a 2nd Big 12 BCS team. Otherwise just 1.

If Oklahoma goes 10-2, it looks like this, otherwise, knock everyone down a peg.

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Kansas State
Allstate Sugar Bowl: Oklahoma
AT&T Cotton Bowl: Texas
Valero Alamo Bowl: Oklahoma State
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl: TCU/Texas Tech
Bridgepoint Holiday Bowl: TCU/Texas Tech
Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas: Iowa State
New Era Pinstripe Bowl: West Virginia
Heart of Dallas Bowl: Baylor(if eligible)
