How different is 49ers offense from frogs?

Seems to be a pretty effective mix of runs, passes and the QB run. I know nothing about offense and schematics, what makes their offense work and how do we get there?

Just to add....SF uses their TEs and FBs a lot more than TCU whereas TCU uses a lot of 4 and 5 WR sets. Davis and Walker are big parts of their offense.

we also run the ball.

we sometimes pass it.

and our QB will sneak in a run or two.

yep......exactly alike.

Why are you always such a negative poster on here?

Nowhere in the thread did I say our offense looks like theirs.. I was asking folks who may know, "what makes theirs run so well?"

Well he is right SnoSki, this isn't a discussion forum, much less a sports themed discussion forum, much much less a football themed discussion forum. Gee seems in the right here.

Sorry for not starting another food thread. I was just curious about why 49ers offense runs so well.

1) Kaepernick is fast and has a cannon for an arm, and he's accurate... Still lacks the ability to go through his progressions completely, but I think he'll be good for a long time.

2) I would give my left leg and hobble around on a peg to have that offensive line.

3) It is not fair that Vernon Davis exists.

Their running game is far more dynamic than ours. Counters, pulling guards and centers, misdirection, wr reverse. We just don't have that creative a playbook.

And yes I understand it takes a great offensive line to install some of these slow-developing run options.

SF uses a pistol set with an inside zone read as the base running play. Seems to me they have a lot more designed roll outs for CK. Like the 5 wide stuff...seems the Frogs always showed 5 wide and motioned the back into the back field for a 4WR set.

I think Pachall and Kaepernick are quite similar.

Explain. They both have strong arms and are accurate and prefer to throw the ball down the field. After that, I don't see many similarities. Pachall goes through progressions, Kaepernick doesn't yet. Kaepernick runs, Pachall derps.
