Nothing new here. It seems as though there has been one article written about this topic and all of the others are just rewrites of the original

I have always wondered about the author's name. A typo at the birth certificate office? Sure his parents meant to name him Fred.

Could be short for Ferdinand or Ferdolph

I lived in Hawaii during the WAC split. They were so upset and hurt that they didn't get an invite to the MWC.
